Hi all. Newbie to this forum but not to collecting silver, mostly in the form of coins. I have been collecting coins, mostly Austalian pre-decimals and other Commonwealth coins for about 30 years with my main interest being in silver coins with low mintage or scarcity. About 15 years ago I bought a 1oz Perth Mint bar and stuck it away and I think it cost me around $8. I bought the first issue of the Holey dollar and dump RAM coin, then some silver 1oz kookaburras whilst on holidays .... and not much until recently. This year I entered the silver market with the purchase of a 1kg silver bar, 2 x 1oz kookas, 2 x 1oz rabbits from Perth mint. My wife bought me a gilded 1oz koala as a surprise one day last week. I have just bought a 1990 1oz $5 kooka, Sydey ANDA 1oz coin and some non-silver coins off eBay. All up, I have bought about 50oz silver so far thus month including some great numismatic items. I will be heading off to the Perth ANDA show next week to see what it's about and maybe pick up an item or two. So, enough boring you .... I have de-lurked and joined the stacker ranks. I was going to choose an interesting username, but figured my name was easier and I wouldn't forget it. Graeme
Welcome Graeme. I wish I'd been into collecting silver coins for that long. It sounds like you have a great collection.
Welcome Graeme. Great time to be in the metals market lately! You're more of a numismatic investor than bullion?
Welcome Graeme your quote: "My wife bought me a gilded 1oz koala as a surprise one day last week. " What a cool lady !
Welcome Graeme, and sounds like you have an awesome wife too! Looking forward to the ANDA show... should be a good day!
