It was around about this time at night exactly three years ago that I was putting the finishing touches on the first iteration of this website (probably around the same time that I was being yelled at to turn the computer off and come to bed) - it's been a pretty long journey since then, and I'd like to thank everyone who has been part of the voyage of the good ship SS as the forum is on the eve of entering it's fourth year in operation (excepting those who have been made to walk the plank along the way, arrr!). Not one for making speeches that don't end in "any further bids? sold!" so with no further ado, here's a quick concept drawing of what's coming out shortly to help celebrate this milestone, first thousand ounces are on order, bugger the cost: Yes, it does look something like a George V penny Proper artwork for dies is being prepped at the moment, and most importantly, it's being struck in Australia at a private facility as their first commercial production run of 1oz bullion rounds. Nothing further to say on the matter beyond that The design of the reverse is being kept under wraps for now, but I'm pretty keen on the design concept that will be revealed, and it's an idea that I'm hoping catches on with the stacker community. Unfortunately they don't stack unless you stick them in a tube, but this is just a first release. Timings are a bit hazy at the moment, but silver has been delivered to the supplier for fabrication, so it's happening! Back to my quiet beer in the corner.
