Did this dude just talk his way out of a breath test? Seems like a lot of work for both the driver and the officer.

Nope, the cop said we'll catch up with you later and they did.
They came back the next day and charged him. If he doesn't win he could face jail time or a $4k fine.
Good luck with that Freeman crap.

According to the AIC fraud is the greatest crime in the community that costs us more than 1 million dollars an hour while cops are more interested doing RBT's and providing security and traffic management for private corporate owner events like the footy and the races ... wake up Australia ...

In what way are sovereign citizens a potential security risk?

One theory is the general public is being duped ... that a small cabal of uber wealthy high net worth individuals and their families and associates are benefitting from the justice system that is siphoning off unlawful penalties, fees and taxes from the general public ... and the exposure of that priviledged information is a threat to their financial security ... however judging by some of the comments on social media that stupidity and ignorance wants to keep the status quo ...

They're exposing problems with the law and the corrupt system, and this is a huge risk to the establishment's power over people.

It's not like they are harming others though is it? They're not on the same level as terrorists or gangsters are they? Generally don't Sovereign Citizens just want to be left alone?

    Just a thought:
Couldn't the cops just get the persons details from the car rego/number plate - send him a fine for failing to comply - and then let the Office of State Revenue handle it? Unless the person is committing a crime (or behaving recklessly) - it doesn't seem like it's worth the aggravation (and yeah, I think the police have more important things to get to).
