Where is the slaps heads emoji again? My apologies, my error, it just seems we’ve been under the cloud of climate alarmists for so long!!

Why can we not have a more varied mix of emoji's here? Probably the wrong thread to ask I know, and gasp, I've probably added to global warming by asking it.

I expect this thread will always be updated in future about Greta because as she grows up her movements and actions will always be under close scrutiny by many of her world haters. Everything she does and where ever she goes she can't fly, ride a combustion vehicle, even the foods she eats will be under close scrutiny. She deserves it all, and she is going to learn a valuable lesson that one cannot live in society today without contributing in part to climate destruction.

Btw, I ordered one of them popular "f$%k you Greta" bumper stickers for my car. :D

I hope it's electric. That would be even funnier in a weird sort of way. ☺

    time traveler

A 19th-century photograph of a young girl with an uncanny resemblance to Greta Thunberg has led to joking accusations that the climate activist is a time traveler. Surprisingly, no one asked if her time machine is eco-friendly.
Taken from the picture archives of the University of Washington, the black-and-white snapshot shows three children hard at work in the Yukon Territory in Canada, circa 1898. A girl standing in the foreground of the photo shares a remarkable similarity to the 16-year-old Swede, who is currently making a carbon-free sea voyage from North America back to Europe.

This can mean only one thing, according to facetious social media users: Greta Thunberg is a time traveler. https://www.rt.com/news/473866-greta-thunberg-photo-time-traveler/

Greta should be forced to go live with the Amish where she belongs.

The boat is made of plastics and metals that were mined.
I'll be impressed when she rides a solar kite.

That little hyprocite should swim the oceans when she travels to give her rude stupid speeches if she wants to be really green.

Her fame has not ended because from now on whenever someone sees and snaps photos of her doing stuff that goes against her hard line green message, they will almost certainly circulate for all world to see. She will have to live with the ramifications of what she done. She will learn the hard lesson that one cannot live in todays worlds without polluting the world in some way.

Yes I should. She really got under my skin as she did with many others.

Isn't this how greenhouses work? Or is that solely a humidity thing.

Great expression. My dear old dad used it frequently - reduced to S.O.L. when sensitive ears were nearby.

Thanks for the memory. Those older colloquialisms are disappearing unfortunately.

So she arrived in Madrid for the big climate hooha, which probably thousands of delegates and their entourage flew in from all around the world to have their get together, spewing out carbon like there’s no tomorrow.

Nice article about the trip, but hang on a minute...

“After a week of preparation, which saw British professional yachtswoman Nikki Henderson fly in to assist the journey, La Vagabonde set sail from Virginia early on November 14.”
    https://www.google.com.au/amp/amp.abc.net.au/article/11766208

So let me get this straight, to make their little “carbon neutral” boat trip Nikki had to fly cross the Atlantic from the UK, and sail across the Atlantic again to go to Madrid, and probably fly home again to the UK.

“The problem was that Nikki was in the UK when she was asked by Australian YouTubers
    Riley Whitlum and Elayna Carausu
to join them on their yacht, ferrying Greta back to Europe”
    https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/amp/newsbeat-50659318

This Nikki is a grown adult, so would weigh more than Greta. Effectively this means the carbon footprint of their boat journey is higher than if Greta flew to Madrid herself! ;) Oh the hypocrisy!
