:confused:I'm just wondering why we are still engaging in this topic when Nobel Prize has been already awarded...

Probably because this matter has gotten under lots of people's skin that can see through the BS of how our dark powers used Greta Thunberg.

Everybody is always emphasizing how she is just a kid and being misused - and that certainly is true - however I'd just like to add that she appears to have a bit of a dark side as well ... in other words - she isn't totally innocent in all of this as most people imply. I listened carefully to some of the interviews she gave and the remarks she made - and she ain't no innocent bystander... she is in the game 100% and is perfectly happy to deceive and lie and enjoy the ride right along with the climate change zealots echoing her BS around the world!

And for those of you who will undoubtedly condemn my remarks here - I'm simply saying - she's 16 - not 6! At 16 one can- and should take at least some responsibility for your own actions and choices - and so should she!

She's smart and has a 16 rear old's precociousness. I suspect she's in the process of being seduced by celebrity, which will mean a hard landing when the world moves on unfortunately.

My wife and i had our first kid and got married at 16 and 17 so shes no small child by any means, except we werent near as naive as she is.
She really seems to believe this stuff. And she's being used like a tool. Her parents seem to enjoy the fame and recognition by the leftists mouth breathers.

From what I've seen - her dad is a rabid left wing activist... not sure about her mother, but i'd wager some that she is too. So no surprises there!

JulieW is correct about the ‘hard landing’. Fame is fleeting and she will yesterday’s news sooner or later. It will be an enormous step for her now to earn respectability. This will take years of education to build the foundation of wisdom required to be treated seriously.

This may sound a tad old fashioned but shouldn't this child be in school? Sweden requires all children between 6 and 16 to be in school and given little miss appears to have played truant for sometime pre her 15 mins of fame (and acknowledged quoting her Friday strikes) and now as she carbon neutrals her way around the global.....I don't read reports about her parents lacking proper parental oversight in this regard....but then again, "It's okay....we're socialist"

Someone could write a thesis on the reaction to this girl and the subject. Sammy is this your next work? No shortage of content.

I have been following the post millennial generation closely. I was born in 1951 so post millennials are exactly 50 years younger than my generation. I think it's terrific that they are going to protest marches, overdosing at music festivals, vaping, learning that #MeToo is irresponsible, all of life's lessons like the good old days.

The best thing about the good old days is that I wasn't good and I wasn't old!

Yep but it's Sweden and we all know how much Sweden likes pampering to the leftists.
