well, a PF68 just sold for 3.6k. And I know for a fact this same seller, flashfire sold one for like 4.5k recently. He has 3 PF69's. I bet he'll get close to 5K a lot sooner than 2 years, try 4-6 months. lol.

Andrew, really nice 1982 Plum Flower Great Wall brass medal....is that the original pouch?

So rare to find this medal in original pouch and the condition and color looking so excellent.

    Thank you for sharing!

    Yes, I is original pouch.

I have the original box too.

Barsenault has the copper version BUT market price value is around 250-350 USD

    Brass around USD1.2 to 2.5K

Why is the brass version so much more expensive than the copper?

Also, do the Chinese perceive brass as a more desirable metal for medals than copper?

The mintage for the brass is far lower than the copper great wall.

Another typical modern china medal by nanjing mints 2 lovely panda.

Nanjing panda have silver, copper and brass.

You can get silver and Cooper in the open market only.

Silver is 299 mintage, copper is 380 and brass is 100 if my memory is good.

First mintage second brass only available to internal circle and not mainly for selling. The brass will only out for open market after one or more year if the price go high. This is my personal view. I might be wrong

There used to be a nice variety of walls and stairs and whatnot on the other side of the lunar coins.

Here is a video of Great Wall from the World Heritage series. Are those details not simply delicious. :D. I mean, you can hang of the ledge of that relief and look down.:lol: not sure how they do what they do, but this is pure art on display. 300g of silver.

Awesome medal! Good job with the video...thanks for sharing.

People seem to be grabbing up these Chinese medals....nearly USD $2000 for a 70 graded. That's over my paygrade but I'm sure the person who could afford it is thrilled to get such a rare grade.
