Government guarantee for savings?

    Anyone heard anymore on the guarantee .when the existing scheme runs out next month & the new one starting in february? is the money covered in the period between those times? Ive used a bit of google fu but get some conflicting info .Any info or links appreciated Thanks

    1mil stays until feb, then the new 250k one rolls in indefinitely.

    Are you certain of this? Can't find any references about the "gap" period between next month and Feb.

    Thanks RTZ thats the link i went to its a bit broad .I was hoping there would be different links somewhere that was a bit more specific ..the devil is in the detail for me i just want to be sure.theres no loophole somewhere that can be used ..I just cant find any concrete statement saying it is covered in the interim Im at a loss to understand why one ends next month & one starts in feb it doesnt make sense it should start the day the other one finishes.
