Snap ,I have one of those Butch gave it to me when we were in Perth Can't remember what else was in it ,but mostly copper Dimensions were wrong I'll get around to cutting it in half (one day )
There was a UK seller with the same exact fakes... i reported him, but he kept changing accounts. 2000 is the only date i don't have up to 2011.
I've bought over $10,000 of Pandas on eBay and not got one single fake *touch wood* SKILLZ bro. Just bought a NGC MS69 2000 Frosted from eBay too Time to slowly start collecting my set of slabbed Pandas...
You've got the skillz and more power to you. I don't have the skillz, nor do I intend to obtain them when it comes to Panda's.
He told me he sold it to a little old lady. I've got one left for the never to be repeated price of $19.50. Incidently Pay Pal reimbersed me no problem.
Hi Group ,My story with my 2008 Fake Panda from China I got a refund from from Paypal after sending them photos of fake coin then sent it back to China registered post cost me $22 coin was sent back to me with unknown address on it.You have to wonder why they sell fake items on Ebay when you can get a refund through Paypal? I kept the original packaging with the customs and postage stamps all over it just in case. Meeko
What exactly is your point? Another inane comment placed in a Panda collectors forum by someone who clearly haasn't got a clue about or cares about Modern Chinese coins. Got nothing to talk about over there huh, Nugget? The only time we see you here is when you're having a go at Pandas. Never anything positive, enquiring or interesting to say. This is a friendly and helpful forum and personally I don't like reading your idiotic posts, I will make a complaint if this behaviour continues. That goes for you too spannermonkey, I don't CARE how many fake Pandas you have!!!
Grizzlyman with the big guns! I gotta agree. Even as a joke it does get a bit tiresome. I mean, there's only so many times you can generalize something before it goes from funny to moronic and annoying. I think we've reached that point of no return.
Yeah ranty but I've had enough for whatever that's worth. Pandas are no joke, these guys are stuck in the 90's, tongue in cheek or not this shit's gettin old. I have no interest in berating kooks, bars, rusted out cars and whatever else they collect. Don't see why the need to tar all Pandas.
Good to see some healthy discussion . The more we see and can discuss these fake coins, the better we we all be at avoiding them in the future. Is a lot easier to point out the obvious flaws when I had possesion of the coin and could take detailed pictures - the ebay pic was no where near as clear. I probably have over 100 panda's, all bought from reputable dealers - here and off ebay - and have never had a problem. The way I look at it, this was a speculative purchase (went in to it knowing it was 98% chance fake), 'only' cost me $120 and a great chance to have a real fake to learn from and share - it's all how you look at it, can be a negative or a positive. Bonus that we all can share our experiences and opinions here
First up I apologise. I've clearly upset you. I use the "New Post" function otherwise I'd never see a single Panda post. I only read this thread because I have a thing against people being cheated. I read the hoopla here 1) hoping that the OP got his money back (they did so result) 2) learn something. I didn't learn anything rather I reaffirmed to myself that Panda's aren't my bag and it is my opinion they aren't for people that simply just want to protect their wealth through PM's . If they work for you then like I said to fishball "more power to you". Stack those Panda's to the moon. FWIW spannermonkey, I care if you unwittingly buy a single fake Panda let alone multiple ones
