Got any rough cut opal experts who can give an idea of value

As per titled would appreciate a second opinion on an opal I'm considering buying.

Ok realising that the Opal world is filled with wonderfully weird people...I guess if your living and digging in a hole most of your life you can get a bit eccentric but tried to buy a black for his asking price and the guy wouldn't send detailed close ups like we expect here on SS for condition purposes so we can the move to the next step of a meet and greet.Reminded me of Smeagol/Gollum "My precious" 'ffs'
I have never met so many sellers that are just hoarders disguising as sellers..sheesh!
It should be heres' your money, get back down the hole.

 

I expect that most of these people would rather be down their hole than trying to do technological things like getting good pics.

 

I got a few all ready cut pieces of opal and will post a few pics when i get home later on..

 

It’s so bloody hard to get a good picture, they look a lot better in person.

Totally agree, it is harder to take photos.

Hint: Try a mirror as background.
