If you want about $6k to $7k have time and spare cash, i suggest you take it to a watch maker for clean and appraisal. Since you mentioned Sydney... I use https://www.luxurywatchmakeraustralia.com.au/ for my watches that have little or no provenance.

The way you have displayed the photos and described, not sure anyone will give you an offer anywhere near $10k, unless you are talking max two thousand dollars.

Note: be honest tell them the ultimate goal is to sell it. So you require an appraisal FIRST as to if you should get the watch cleaned/repaired or to try to sell it AS-IS.

(He might charge you $100 to $200 for his time - getting a watch appraised is not 5 minute job unless it a dud)

When you get the clean/repair quote -

    1. you can clean/repair and sell for maximum price or
    2. sell it yourself with a quote indicating how much it will likely cost to clean/repair.

Personally if Appraisal is good get it cleaned/repaired

Why I say this -> cant tell if it working. you dont mention it, the glass is shot, bracelet is either broken or just missing the pin.

    What you have is

Black Dial-Diamond "Saphirglas" 16013 Oyster Perpetual Datejust 18ct Jubilee

    Movement 3035
    36 mm Case
    18ct yellow Gold Bezel
    18ct yellow Gold Jubilee bracelet
    Sapphire crystal

PS: Gently turn the crown to wind the spring, if it stuck or hard to turn... STOP, don't force it.
PS2: DO NOT get the glass polished, get a new glass and MAKE sure you say you want the original glass back!
PS3: You do not want the dial fixed or repaired, tell them to reuse it!

Appreciate the comments and information. That was almost the entire purpose of my post. Will take your advice onboard and update the original post when i know more.
The bracelet is fine. Following instructions online i removed one side so i could see the model number. Re-attachment i haven't attempted yet.

BTW, my condolences for your loss of your father.

Yeah all good. Felix at the LW is pretty good, what I wrote he would likely advice as well.

Though now might not be the right time, when you have a moment I would call and email Graysonline to ask if the box and papers were included, 10 years ago it would have been online and could still be all archived. Because if the box and papers were included in the sale, I would seriously look for them, they are literally worth thousand or more in valuation.
