    from their website this morning;

    The Reserve Vault, Brisbane

    Attention Bullion Storage Customers

The ownership of The Reserve Vault has finally been resolved. Ainslie Bullion Company and BullionMark, in partnership, purchased the majority shareholding in the facility on Tuesday, August 7.

We believe that, while the TRV is already a first class facility for the storage of precious metals, it has the potential to be world class. However, patience is required, as a lot of hard work will need to be done to achieve our vision of the facility. We will be working to achieve Lloyds of London accreditation.

Should you have an outstanding account with the RV, you will receive a new invoice in the next few days, with details of the new bank account, reflecting the change in ownership.

There will be little change for storage clients of Ainslie Bullion Company, but should any clients of the TRV have any questions regarding their account, please email [email protected].

We look forward to serving your best interests with improved services and security.

    Brian & Geoff

    Ainslie Bullion Company

I would feel much better knowing Brian has his finger in it now, he would have to be one of the most stand up trustworthy guys I know.

Call me Dumb. But why would anyone buying PM's because they don't have faith in Fiat currencies,Banks and the ASX store them in someone else's Vault?

whoa... that's a mouthful. Not having faith in 3 things - fiat, banks, and the ASX. Best not to assume... cause you can end up looking like an ass.

Be a role model then. Stop assuming with silver and gold.

I agree with Kawa (though the person never stated): double standards.

One hypothetical reason - suppose you split your storage between your own premises and a private vault (trv is not a bank!), then if one was compromised, your potential losses are halved.

Another possible reason - I know people that just don't want the security considerations of storing their physical at home...

Bravo, my good man, bravo. You've got potential. You're still just a beginner, so some of the subtleties have eluded you, but this will be enough spoon-feeding of Kawa for now. :)

If you read my post you will see that I dont say that people who buy PM's are exclusive of currencies, banks and shares as a group of three. You have posted a reply to try and make it seem that way because I have made a comment that you don't agree with so you have spent 20 seconds of your life being an ass yourself.A smart ass.

Many PM stackers take physical delivery and many on here would view ( as I do) the idea of someone lookig after your stack as completely foreign.

As you say" best not to assume"

Yes Kawa, you're right, I did make a special exception in your case. If it was someone else who'd said that, I wouldn't have bothered. But I have seen your vicious little attacks against lots of SS in all manner of posts, so I already had an idea of what emotions were bubbling inside of you, when you made your comment. :)

So... back on topic - I'm really happy these two are co-owning the vault. Makes sense for Ainslie as they've been using that facility for years anyway, and recommended them to me for storage when I started stacking in Brissy.

Hats off to them, hopefully the scandals of the past are long gone! :D

Thanks.Just found that also,I appreciate that new owners will have a new regime however the point I posted above is in line with how MANY PM stackers feel. They tend to be independent thinkers in charge of their own future and I submit in the main would store their PM themselves away from some type of communal facility.

Having read this article one would have to be certain that changes have occured rather than blindly take up storage on a promise it is better?

It is obviously a sensitive issue with some.

Has anyone got their PM's stored here, I was just wondering if things have changed down there in terms of security since Ainslie and Bullionmark have taken over.
