    12 month returns compared.

    Gold in USD was $1508.80 12 months ago. It is now $2029.20. That's an increase of 34.5%. Nice.

    The ETF GDX was $29.31 12 months ago. Now it is $42.74. That's an increase of 45.8%. A bit nicer.

    It's not a particularly amazing stock to own, it is just an ETF after all, but it does illustrate that shares have the opportunity for multiple gains (in this case more than 30%) over rises in the POG. And this one is quite a bit more diversified than your average gold stock.
