My partner and I are booked. Looking forward to it. Glenferrie Lodge is in Kirribilli - just up the road from Kirribilli House. Its about 3 stars. Pretty inexpensive by Sydney standards. Rooms were modest but still clean. (Shared bathroom I think.) Great location. Probably walking distance to Symposium. Also get cooked breakfast. Have landed in Sydney. Got the train from the airport to North Sydney, where it's an easy walk to the conference or the apartment.
