    Just wanting to know if it's common on this forum to swap silver for gold using the GSR....

    Phys or paper? Wouldn't say common for phys but there's a few here that do use the GSR for some trades.

    No, postage is an additional expense and risk. Then you have to agree on the premiums for both sides of the deal, by the time you have done that the GSR could have moved.

    I did it once with physical and three times with unallocated metals through a dealer. You still pay fees but it is a lot less hassle.

    If the gsr was to go under 45, I would swap some silver for gold !

    Definitely. :)

    mind you though, never seen it there below 45.
