Just bought a 1oz Panda and the plastic factory wrap is very scratched up. Not the coin, but the wrap. Dealer said they are all like that. A second dealer said the same thing.

Those who have them, is that par for the course?

    Thx

    Welcome...

When it comes to that plastic, It is common from what i have seen. As long as the coin isn't scratched, You're ok..

I would take a 10x magnifier and examine the coin thoroughly anyway...

    good luck..

Yeah, all my gold pandas are like that as well. I never understood why they put the silver pandas in nice capsules and the gold comes in the scuffed up rubbish plastic packaging they do.

I found coughing up the extra $70 or so for a MS70 version is well worth the piece of mind.

my gold Pandas are the same, scratches, marks, coin rim indentation on the plastic, but coin is fine, i think most plastic wraps on the pandas are like that, you'd ve lucky to get one not scratch up
