Apmex were selling all their MS70 1 oz proof and bullion for 2100 and 1850 as part of a clearance sale late last year. I know 3 investors/collectors(one local, the other in HK and another in Germany) who collectively have accumulated 1% of the 1 oz gold dragon mintage.
I wasn't planning on buying any gold dragons, but I ended up buying an MS70 bullion in that Apmex sale. Then I traded for 2 more gold dragons for a friend who then changed his mind. Due to various opportunities that have arisen, I am 1 mouse short of having 3 S2 sets. After the horses, I will have to decide whether or not to continue the sets.
Searched US ebay and didn't see anything. A 2000 1oz gold dragon sold for $1800 a couple of weeks ago, although I did see some flaws on the coin (no, not talking about Lizz's face :lol
