Nope, she goes on to say that it is more than all gold that is meant to exist (180-190k tonnes as far as I can find). She definitely meant tonnes. Can you imagine how large the facility would have to be to store all that, in bar form? How would they get that much into the country and keep it quiet?
Go to the video at 1min to 1min 10sec ... she did not say it is physically stored in the bank ... people hear what they want to hear ... listen to what she actually says ... sheesh ...
"The amount of gold that's in deposit at the bank of Hawaii is 170 000 tonnes." How else do you want to take that other than gold in the bank? She's suggesting there is a lot more gold in existence than is reported.

Thank you alor for bringing this into the discussion. It is all lining up towards the East, and anyone wishing otherwise is just wishing otherwise.
it used to be Saudi the largest oil producer Saudi can only sell oil in US dollar the term is Petrol for dollar => Petrodollar now the largest oil producer is Russia add that with Iran, both will be the largest suppliers for a long time add that China is still a big consumer, there is an alternative to the Petrodollar, they deal in "strictly no dollar"
I think the best way to shut down a discussion in the General Precious Metals Discussion is to keep posting a JOTD,. to over-ride serious discussion on Metals. Is that true alor? Enquiring minds want to know? _JLG.
there is no need to shut down a discussion, the moment the word "manipulation" is mentioned, majority of people are automatically shut down there is no need to over-ride something serious, people just be more relax with their happiness looking at the price manipulation is always distressing, some people have been watching this thing happening for more than 50 years, that is 13,000 days !!! if smoking for that is 18,250 days, if each burn is after meal it would total 54,750 sticks of cigarettes that amount of smoke will certainly shut down the breathing tubes. there are just too many JOTD from posting by FB friends

From Zero Hedge: De-Dollarization Spikes – Venezuela Stops Accepting Dollars For Oil Payments (Zero Hedge) – Did the doomsday clock on the petrodollar (and implicitly US hegemony) just tick one more minute closer to midnight? Apparently confirming what President Maduro had warned following the recent US sanctions, The Wall Street Journal reports that Venezuela has officially stopped accepting US Dollars as payment for its crude oil exports. As we previously noted, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said last Thursday that Venezuela will be looking to “free” itself from the U.S. dollar next week. According to Reuters, "Venezuela is going to implement a new system of international payments and will create a basket of currencies to free us from the dollar,” Maduro said in a multi-hour address to a new legislative “super body.” He reportedly did not provide details of this new proposal. Maduro hinted further that the South American country would look to using the yuan instead, among other currencies. “If they pursue us with the dollar, we’ll use the Russian rouble, the yuan, yen, the Indian rupee, the euro,” Maduro also said. The state oil company Petróleos de Venezuela SA, known as PdVSA, has told its private joint venture partners to open accounts in euros and to convert existing cash holdings into Europe’s main currency, said one project partner. This first step towards one or more gold-backed Eurasian currencies certainly looks like a viable and — for a lot of big players out there — welcome addition to the global money stock. Venezuela, meanwhile illustrates the growing perception of US weakness. It used to be that a small country refusing to take dollars could expect regime change in short order. Now, maybe not so much.
Venezuela already sold off its gold reserves to buy US dollars and has blown through that too ... seems they are a bit slow getting their priorities straight ...
