So, it's mostly pension and super funds that are going to get roasted. I don't have exposure to bonds
LPG system has gone pretty bad, we are having major problems finding a suitable compact fuel pump assembly that will pump 100% propane over 700psi to keep the fuel liquified in the fuel line and not vapourised. Spoke to the boss today and he has a new pump assembly from Germany that he is presently in the throws of testing. I have been to a job interview last week but they reckon they hav'nt found anyone suitable for the job yet.....Will be ringing them again at the end of the week. Other than that I have been waiting for everyone to finish holiday season and get back into the grind. Sent out a few resume's today and will be sending more thru the week!
Saw some great interview tips and thought of you More here https://www.facebook.com/RoyReid.ca/posts/942085002508007
Next GFC if the governments can't bail out the banks like last time can the banks really take our money? Starts at around 2 min mark.
I'm betting something like this happens: 1. They'll go cashless, to prevent people keeping cash outside the banking system. 2. Negative interest rates or bank bail-ins will be implemented. 3. Physical monetary assets such as gold, silver will be demonised and made illegal. Virtual currencies will be made illegal. 4. One world cashless currency. One world government. At some point before #3 there will be a financial collapse.
^ They can demonize my gold and silver all they like but that will never make me stop stacking it. Making it illegal could be a problem but how can they do that?
I'm sure they could find a way of doing that, but they can never stop me putting a chain around my bullion and calling it jewellery
I think it will be a bit more subtle, but with the same end result. They'll manage public opinion carefully. 1. Won't ban cash, but will make it expensive for businesses to deal with, pushing everyone toward the convenience of electronic transfers. 2. Not overtly negative, but there could be various "emergency" levies on cash accounts with some pretext or other. 3. Physical monetary assets ok as long as held exclusively in a government backed, fully auditable pool account. Holding cash and PMs personally with be associated with crime and terrorist activity. 4. One global reserve currency while maintaining local currencies via a level of indirection: regional currencies that float against IMF SDRs for example. There will be cross-border agreements to track all currency flows. 5. There will potentially be two world governments, or one world government and one faux-world government (to be the source of terrorists and various evils) because a big enemy is always needed to rally the populace.
Trying to get my head around a single world government, and the need for an enemy. Wouldn't the job be done? Food/water will be the new fear, do as you're told or you won't be getting any.
Bio chipping everyone is what scares me. If someone doesn't conform to their will or whistle blows, their bio chip can simply be switched off and they are unable to operate or do anything in society.
An enemy, real or manufactured, is an extremely useful tool for politicians. Remember the Hermann Goering quote: "...the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." Something similar in 1984.
"Persona non grata". I explained it in this post: http://forums.silverstackers.com/to...dom-is-a-cashless-society-and-its-coming.html The elimination of cash is the elimination of personal independence and it means handing over almost total control of your life to the government. At a whim, you could be declared persona non grata and the banks will instantly shut down your access to funds, you will not be able to buy food or any other goods, pay bills or accept payment for employment which means essentially you would be immediately cut off from interaction with the vast majority of society. Think of the fear this would generate. Think of the chilling effect it would have on potential political dissenters.
Essentially the same result can be achieved (eventually) without bio-chipping everyone, at least in Australia with the national biometric database and other measures. Publically, they are talking about at least 100 million images to start with, the equivalent of at least 4 images of every single Australian in the database, sourced from drivers license applications, passports, trawling of Facebook and social media, various other identity cards, etc. It's referred to as the "The Capability" and was in the budget last year with claims it will be online mid 2016.
