I think this is a new series and is called "Nature's eyes", not "African Ounces". It is 2 Oz and the original thing is that the eye is a dome shaped crystal. Very Original, I like it! Alex.
I would love to have / see tiger ... It would be probably better to start new topic. Another rare animals series (with Swarovski): [img=FluxBB bbcode RareAnimal]http://www.powercoin.it/314-362-large/white-lion-rare-wildlife-swarovski-2-oz-silver-coin-malawi-2009.jpg[/img]
Am I the only one to find these coins boring? One elephan, then 3 elephants and in last coin 5 elephants... it looks like that game where one has to guess how many elephants there are in the picture... next coin what, sitting elephants instead of walking ones? Ops... I think I gave a good hint to the mint Alex.
LOL I stopped buying these coins after 3th coin. I would like to have them all, because I really like them. Unfortunately there is no solid info about series (how many coins of total will be in this series). The price is too high (for $40-60 I would be still buying them).
No surprise the Mint continues to ruin this series. I have already discussed my displeasure with the handling of it. Now they release another coin with a different obverse than the previous 5 coins. Oh and we have the 3rd coin out of 6 that display elephants. What the heck is going on???? This series would have been a grand slam had they released the coins much slower. Like 1 per year instead of 1 per month. Also if they would have kept the same obverse for every coin but just changed the African country used. Oh if they would have used a different African animal for every coin instead of the same ones over and over. Just my 2 cents.
I mean they went from "Elephant Silver Ounce" to "Baby Elephants Silver Ounce" to "Elephants Silver Ounce". They added the "s"! Somebody please make them stop the madness! I guess next will be "African Lions" cause we already have "African Lion".
Hi That coin with 5 big elephants i think it is from diferent mint, on the back You can see Queen Elisabeth, and its not Francs, You can see it here : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271272088492?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 So in this series is I think at the moment only 5 coins. On ebay You can find many 1 oz and 3 oz coins. For example, Rhino 1 oz i 2012 dated, 3 oz is 2013 dated. Same story with baby lions. CanT find more, but I have as well 1/8 oz gold lion, mintage 1000 coins- 5000 Francs - still on ebay from german seller. Have too 9 oz silver lion-10 000 Francs, mintage 300 coins. And my question now, did any one saw more coins 9 oz silver and 1/8 oz gold from this series? Because the lion is stil available, and will be good to have them all. Thanks for any help Ps. sorry for my english, but it is not my native language.

Hi, I am sorry to tell you, but this coin is from the same mint. So we have 6 different coins in this series until now. We will see how many will still come.
so why they just dont put some info on internet about that series? BUt, If we speak about Gabon, there was only 3 coins, and 2 coins from Congo. I sam one more coinf from gabon, but it was with green snake, i think mamba
This series is just a jumbled up mess. I had to stop collecting it due to the many releases at too fast a pace along with the changing nations and sizes. Nice coins...bad investment IMHO.
