I thought half sovereigns weighed 4g in total and were 3.6g of gold. (Well 3.99 and 3.66) Scale showing 3.6 isn’t encouraging.
How much are you looking for the pair Bubblebobble?

You link shows 0.1177 troy ounces of pure gold, and that exactly what Samion said above.

hi bubblebobble! the coin shown on the sigma looks like a different coin than the 1906 GB pictured at the top? ( king should be facing to the right on the 1906)
    just a observation, cheers

Interesting seems the 3.67g might be the actual gold value? Anyone come up with a definitive answer?

I just came for the comments :p

But just to chime in as hell, this is the internet....

Full Sov = 7.980g actual weight 22k (physical)

Full Sov = 7.31468g when converting to 24k weight (not physical weight due to being 22k in the first instance)

    &

Half Sov = 3.990g actual weight 22k (physical)

Half Sov = 3.657234g when converting to 24k weight (not physical weight due to being 22k in the first instance)

If weighing at the converted weight on scales, your scales are either a: amazeballs or b: the bezel weights 0.0g

Just did a search for 3.6 g half sovereign came up with auction results from June 2024 Burstow and Hewitt “ A Queen Victoria 1897 gold half sovereign coin, 3.6g”.

Also checked a UK 1884 Reverse shield that I had it weighs 3.9g?
