As the title says this is a George III spade guinea dated either 1785 or 1795? in very worn condition. It has a attachment for chain which is not hallmarked, so could be either 9 carat or base copper. Total weight is 8.4 grams with attachment, I estimate that the coin itself in this condition weighs about 7.8 grams from previous dealing with a similar worn coin without mount. The weight of a guinea in mint state is 8.35 grams of .917 gold so a bit heavier than a sovereign. On current gold price, the gold value should be a bit over $600 at 7.8 grams not counting the mount. Selling for $550 plus $7 for registered postage Australia wide. The 5 people on my ignore list are ineligible to purchase, as I wont be able to see your correspondences. Otherwise everyone is welcome to purchase. Payment needs to be made before despatch of item into my bank account. Item is genuine, if anyone has reservations I am offering 14 day money back guarantee. Get it tested within two weeks of receiving and if the coin does not scan as .917 gold send it back and I will refund you the purchase price and return postage. Thanks for looking.
