Hi gang So I got 7 of these beauties off a fellow stacker recently (thanks again Acorn) but I need cash so here we are. Austrian “1915 4 ducat restrike” coins are bullion they aren’t old collectable coins or anything don’t get confused. Composition: Gold Weight (grams): 13.964 Weight (troy/oz): 0.4426 Purity (%): 98.60 So they contain almost $1050 worth of gold at today’s spot price I’d like $1200 each including postage. 2 for $2350 3 for $3450 Im thinking of going to Edlins to see if they’ll validate the coins for me but being coin dealers im sure they would offer below spot price so almost certainly won’t be selling to them. Feel free to make a counter offer what you think they’re worth I don’t mind at all. Thanks for looking! You know who would like to buy these off me? Me, in my super fund. Am I allowed to do that? No. Could I sell them privately to a coins dealer for spot - 2% and then immediately buy them back in my fund for spot plus premium? Yes easily and legally. It’s bullshit
I haven’t removed them all from the packaging I got them in but here’s one of them. They’re cool coins, quite thin but large (40mm). Good condition, not mint but nothing bad.
