So glad we have the support of the community here. Such a shame, as all of this could have been avoided if only Carlo had sent side pictures of the bar beforehand. A fake is a fake is a fake, unless specified as such, it should not be sold as genuine. And if a mistake has been it should be rectified by the seller immediately, in this case Carlo, since it's trust that has to exist between buyer and seller for any trade to happen. I do know for a fact that most in this community are honest, genuine sellers and buyers, even though I have only done a limited trade on here myself and that is because I read the forums and people's feedbacks. I do hope that Carlo comes good for GM, I would hate to see him suffer a loss.

Carloc...Its been a week since this has been picked up as a fake.
If you were TRULY genuine the funds would have been reimbursed already.
Now...if you have been unfortunate enough to buy these from someone else then you chasing them for reimbursement should have no impact on the persons you have, according to you inadvertently wronged.
Pony up the funds paid to you for the fakes and chase whomever sold to you on your own time.

This is a very serious matter. I would report it to the Perth Mint and the police. The seller should refund the money right away.

And let this be a lesson for everyone. Unless you have a lot of experience and are given a high quality photo to go by, do not buy of random people. Rather go somewhere that is an official distributed for Perth Mint.

No it's not. Anyone with both experience and a good eye can easily see its fake. And that's the issue, most people don't have experience or a good eye.

Also that fact that the sell posted a really crappy photo and no side shot is another big warning bell for me.

This has dragged out long enough, and the more that gets said the more Carloc might not respond

Groges has his address, and Yuri has met him F2F. If he doesn't refund you then get the police involved and provide all of his details to them

Carloc, you said it was XRF tested which was a lie, so pay back GM straight away, and you can chase up the person you bought from (If that's even true) in your own time. It's ridiculous that you think you shouldn't have to pay him back because you got sold a fake (which you said was real)

I am so stressed at the moment and my faith in humanity is at a very low level.

As things stand at the moment Carloc is not out of pocket on anything as he has transferred that onto Gm and myself.

It appears that the sale of fake bars were intentional. I raised concerns about the bar's authenticity before the sale, but he ignored my request for more photos and reassured everyone about the xrf result (clearly a lie).

Why isnt any "honest buyers" buying my gold?

This makes me truely angry, I see it as intentional as the seller said the bars were XRF tested, it would be very wise for the seller to issue refunds to everyone he has sold to.

If this is a real mistake on your end Carloc just issue the refunds and that will give you a little positive reputation back (especially if you are really into buying silver and gold, as this forum is the best place you can buy and sell from), then chase the person you brought them off (or not buy things from certain overseas websites).

I hope things turn out well for the buyers of these items and I hope these items are destroyed after the matter is resolved so they will never be sold again.
