Hey Sticks, Long time lurker/ stacker, first post here though. Thanks for a great tool! I have been using it for a couple of months now but all of a sudden it has stopped working properly. It no longer posts spot prices or charts. Any ideas??
http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-9444-silver-stacker-toolkit-not-working.html Read that. Source code on the website changed so it's broken a bit.
Sticks, not sure if you considered reading Kitco's spot price from their text only page: http://www.kitco.com/texten/texten.html It's easier to parse for the kitco spot prices and could be used to "auto-detect" the apps configuration by supplying numbers to test against in the HTML version. e.g. Text version says POS is 60.40, so HTML version is searched for "60.40" to find the line number and character position and length. This could be further improved to run multiple tests for accuracy. So yea, an "Auto-Detect" button could be possible.
Here is latest version - just fixed a couple of minor bugs Have changed name back to original name "Sticks Stack Calc" so it won't be confused with the Registered TradeMark "Silver Stackers". Same as last version - so just copy this into your folder, it will use database files already there http://www.sticksplace.org/Dloads/Stacker106.exe
Hello Sticks, The gadget has stopped updating today. And since the last update when I click "exit" I get "Exception EA Access Violation ... at 000181B4. Write address 01CC4938. then clicking that I then get Runtime error 216 at 001378CD.
It appears Kitco have changed the source code again, so you will need to adjust your settings Goto Setup Page; Check the 'Edit Kitco Import' at the bottom of Page. Then adjust the line numbers (First Column.) This is current Setup Source: Runtime error caused by some of fields containing Null values, Should come right when program settings are adjusted
Thanks Sticks, its updating ok but still giving the errors. They don't seem to affect anything though.
All I can think of, when program was importing null values when you exited programs these crook values were saved in the INI File, when you restart these same crook values are imported back into program. Use the program until all appears to be working well, then exit to save good values in INI file, then restart. - Problem should be gone. If not, check your purchase database for any empty records you may have posted and delete them. Let me know if problem doesn't fix itself.
