Cheers everyone, had a few members contact me about this. Seems to be the same error so I'll pass it on. I won't need any more notifications from members unless you come across something that's different.
Frustratingly there's no server errors being logged when this happens - I think it might be a case of the server running slow (it's on shared hardware), and CloudFlare interprets a slow response as no response.
Thanks to members who attempt to notify me of spam by reporting but just a reminder that it doesn't work. Either PM me or tag me in the post eg "@mmm....shiney!".
I know messages to @goldpelican regarding member/tech issues are going unanswered at the moment. I've sent him a message on the FB page tonight, for those interested in messaging him via that medium the address for the FB page is https://www.facebook.com/SilverStackers/ I'm really keen to see the matters resolved so that we have some certainty about the future of this forum. Hopefully he'll devote some time in the next month to sorting out the requests and also take some some meaningful steps toward ownership considerations.
A reminder, email notifications are an ongoing issue. Do not reset your email in an attempt to solve the problem or you'll get locked out.
