O.k they held off from tapering.........How will it all go now...? http://www.theage.com.au/business/m...rve-holds-off-on-tapering-20130919-2u087.html
"Business as Usual". If they EVER turn that $85 Billion into even $80 Billion, and hint at $75 Billion, the whole thing will tank! Much more likely to go to $95 or $100 Billion, and............ OC
Gold hit a low of $1296.50 at 1146 CDT, then steadily rose to a peak of $1367.80 at 1553. Institutions started buying big at 1357 CDT. I don't know the exact time the announcement was made but buying was actually quite orderly. So there was some institutional buying before 1400 CDT. Contrast gold with the S&P, where at 1259 EDT there was a very large sell order, then one minute later at 1300 there were several large buy orders. That took the S&P from 1695 to 1713 in less than a minute. So I'm guessing that 1300 EDT (1400 CDT) was the time of the announcement.
Wonder how long they will keep it at 85Billion? Very surprised they didn't say they will ramp it up to 100Billion? At least now everyone knows they're admitting things just ar'nt good over there.....How long is this QE going to go on for?
It may take a while for it to all set in......How long is this 'non-tapering' going to go on for.....Months/ years.....No body knows except them cos they're running the whole show? Just read an article where they're saying present QE could continue until 2015!
I've read fairly regularly that the Fed expects interest rates to remain where they are until about 2015. Nothing about QE
Gees they're just going to let it all sit as it is are they? I would have thought after five years wait they would change something? Looks like we are set to experience some 'stagflation' for at least a few years then just like Japan did for twenty years?
Its looking like we have to wait for the debt ceiling issues to be resolved before we really know whats going to happen?
Taper talk 4eva taper Neva... Only question is when they step up purchases... which should be hilarious as they will jawbone taper up to the day they QE5 it
How many times does the Fed have to talk up the prospect of tapering before the market refuses to believe them?
