    Intro:
Full Moon = 6th May 2012, and one of the biggest in years too! Good time to go fishing.

I will be in the area for some leisure time fishing. All fingerlings will be released, but any legal meaty sized fish will be eaten and brought back to stinky Ridge for later consumption.
So, if you are in the area and wish to catch up and pretend we have something to talk about whilst I nod my head and stare into the ocean you can PM me.

BYO rods and gear. I am only bringing three rods and they are already reserved for me, me and me (actually one might be for sambosubmarine).

    Contact?
Just buzz me in PM, or ring me (if you already have my mobile number).

    How much?
Free (if you tag along with me). However, any food, drinks, bait and fees associated with crossing to Fraser Island you pay your own way. I suppose to be on safe side you would bring $50 to cover your a$$.

    Emergency First Aid?
I am an unqualified first aid officer whom has two medipacks/kits up-to-date (nothing expired) with surgical hands. My knowledge of stings and bites are next to nothing. You can have confidence/faith in me to hand you necessary first aid materials to fix yourself. Obviously, in dire emergency I will drive your sorry a$$ to closest ER hospital.
I kiss pretty good (so the mosquitoes tell me), so don't fret there.

    Where?
Hervey Bay - Fraser Island area. Depends on my tyres on 4WD and confidence if they will cross the seas. Also depends how crap the fishing is from mainland.

    When?
Around 9-11th May 2012. Possibly might even go as far north as Gladestone - Mackay - Whitsundays. IDK yet, depends on mood and money.

    Why?
Cause I like fishing. Plus, I am picking up a generator in area anyway. So, two fish with one hook thingy saying.

    Who?
    Me and possibly sambosub (member).

    What to bring?
    - BYO Your own fishing rod/gear and a bit of bait. Well, a rod will do. I will take care of all your other needs, such as, tackle.
Try to bring a 12ft rod so you can cast out far enough to try and reach the gutters and bars. If you bring a small rod, such as typical 6ft you will not have much luck or bites (possibly bream and flathead at best).
    - I am not trading metals, but you can trade with each other.
    - Your own snacks and beverages. I don't drink alcohol, but I am okay with you drinking the rubbish whilst I sip my cuppas.
    - Blankets and stuff to keep you warm! Don't underestimate.
    - Umbrella or water proof coats/jackets. I will bring garbage bags (bin liners) just in case.
    - Torch/Light (preferably headlamp).

    What will be supplied?
    - DC 12volt and AC 240volt Electricity (solar and generator).
    - DC Fridge and esky.
    - Tackle.
    - Camera (for Kodak moments).
    - Cricket Bat (for knocking out sharks).
    - Internet (if there is reception).
    - Radio and CD player (car)
    - Cooking stuff: burner/cooktop with gas, herbs, lemon, salt, pepper, plastic forks and knives, sparticus's spatula (egg flipper), plastic plates and bits n pieces to help cook.

    How to get there?
Well, I got enough room in my 4WD for three other people.
I can pickup bodies from Brisbane to Hervey Bay area and drop you back home when done.
If you have your own wheels we can form Voltron. Either a convoy or meet up around the area.

    How long for?
Well, I am one of them hardcore fishing wannabes. I will do an all nighter fishing. So, dedicate 24 hours just for fishing.

    Where to sleep?
I will be sleeping in 4WD whilst you all sleep on the beach and keep an eye on my rods for bites.
Ideally, you bring a tent and sleeping bag if you don't like the idea of either staying awake or sleeping on beach naked.

    Special Interest:
I will bring some opal and opal cutting machines too. So, I can also do some quick custom cutting on the spot for a minimal fee and on the cheap (and I mean cheap).

    Notes:
If enough show interest I will bring a tandem trailer with me to help carry all your shyt.
If enough show interest to fish longer than 24 hours I will play along. I am willing to spend up to two weeks camping/fishing.
Electricity will be supplied (solar and generator).
Fridge and esky will also be supplied. However, if you expect to cool a cartoon of beer you are dreaming. I am only bringing small DC fridge and esky (and I mean small). Enough for 12 cold drinks at a time and one curled up 3Kg Mulloway (Jewfish).

    Terms and Conditions:
If only one legal sized fish is caught by group it must be shared with all, but there afterwards every man/woman for him/herself (i.e. you keep what you catch for yourself).

This thread will be updated and edited accordingly if any changes.

Apparently it is 'illegal' to fillet any fish before the dinner table, as it becomes hard for officials to prove/disprove legal size. ;)

Wish I was up in QLD. I'd be all over this too.

I do a fair bit of fishing for Kingfish in Sydney.

Good luck with the session, maybe one day I'll come up and join you guys.

    Cheers,

    Slam

    Work = HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Funny that; you work to retire (which is to do nothing). Gosh, I saw the light, now I retire to work!

Just another cog in the machine/system. Help the rich get richer.

Now I snooze for the BIG FISH TRIP
