Anti semitic? Isnt the tribe of Judah just one small part of the house of shem? I think anti-semitism and jew-hating are very different indeed. But thats only from the Bible as a source, no maccabees for me.
Hey don't get me started on Theology again, I'm just a durn fool who has no idea anyhoo. Semite's came from the lineage of Shem, one of Noah's sons, according to the good book. The Arabs, who apparently hate the Jews and vice versa, are actually blood related to the Hebrews according to this as they are recognized as descendants of the line of Shem. I may have left the fold but the subject is still deeply fascinating to me.
Fascinating Silver bullit, anyhow back at the vault ... maybe it was one of those weather balloons ...
A burning weather balloon accidentally crashing into a subterranean vault and evaporating the gold. Yeah! Plausible, especially in America. We should get the Myth busters onto this.
Thats what I meant, anti semitism isnt just for people who hate jews, it means so much more. Just in his own direct family, Judah had 11 brothers and a sister as well, so someone who has antisemitic sentiments hates alot of people/cultures and a few core religions too.
I may be a bit obsessed with semantics but words are a powerful force and I believe should convey the correct meaning and be used in the correct context. Most treat "antisemitism" as hatred of Jews alone and of course you correctly point out this is far from the truth. These PC words which, superficially, are intended to bring peace, love and harmony are in fact very destructive. The "racist" word is most often used as a weapon to intimidate and restrict free discussion. It is one of the most divisive and hate inspiring words I have encountered in recent years due to misuse and misunderstanding, often deliberately I suspect.
