    Hi all

I bought the pictured coins below. I bought them very cheaply as fake.

I want to make them into jewellery.

My question is does anyone know what they are made of. Don't want to use them if they have any possible toxic metals. They are not magnetic.

    Thanks
    Scott

Sorry, as I mentioned above I want to make them into jewellery and I am buggered if I am going to buy legitimate ones and then bash the crap out of them.

Whilst your reply was helpful I certainly didn't appreciate the tone.

Maybe you should consider the fact that those fake coins are a bain on coin collecting and should not be encouraged by their purchase. The only good thing you can do with them is destroy them.
So whilst your query is legitimate it is offensive to many here that you paid for them and supported the counterfeiting market.

My lord. Ok. Not sure I need to justify myself and explain the full situation but anyway.

I bought these off a friend who is a coin collector. He was scammed by another individual, obviously. The seller refused to refund the money. Rather than him destroying the coins or throwing them in the bin I bought them off him so he could make a little of the lost money back and I would have some rounds with nice designs to play around with.

As it stands I have purshased many coins on this website, including perhaps off you Serial. I coin collect to a small degree and also stack silver.

Is that clear. Or somehow I am still in the wrong. If so,whatever life moves on.

Unfortunately coins like this often end up being used to rip people of like your friend. I personally cannot stand them and advocate their destruction whenever found.
By all means rip them up, cut them, drill them just never let them leave your house intact.
I also don't think spanner mean to offend you with his statement, its just unfortunate you took offense

OK. I took it as slightly patronising, as was being called 'princess'

Anyway. Moving on. It's Saturday and time for more beer.

Looks nice, have you tried polishing it first?

Depending on size some would make nice cufflinks.

They look like pewter. The finish can vary by the ratio of alloyed metals. Try google for pewter to see some images.
