    Hi Stackers,

Can anyone recommend safe and appropriate locations to make PM face to face transfers in Melbourne CBD or eastern suburbs.

Does anyone know if any banks or PM dealers provide the facility of a private office which could be used.

    Thanks,
    Southerner

If you're trading sub $1000 with a reputable member I wouldn't worry but if your doing a big trade with someone who is quite new, try a police station. call them and ask if they will allow you to

    "I'd like a room please."

    "Stacking or non-stacking?"

Find somewhere with a security camera , if the worst happens at least you have a record of events with your mug's on camera. I Doubt very much you would have a problem with any arrangement organised here on SS.

Coffee shops are always a good option... basically anywhere that is public but allows you your own table/space to conduct the trade is fine in my books.

Did a trade out here in the common area of a backpacker hostel once... probably the weirdest place for me so far.

Insist the other party wears a flourescent pink feather boa, leopard skin leotard and platform Doc Martins. That way if they do a runner, they'll be easily recognised and won't be able to get very far :)

Try a back alley in the Ghetto , at least you know what you are dealing with...

Or if it was me I would conduct the transaction in say a parking lot of a large bank, if something goes terribly wrong there is a good chance of cctv footage.. but probably wont because most people wanting to pull a scam would not agree to the meeting place, but then again most criminals are not the brightest bunch...

Thank you all for your suggestions.

I have decided to go with the public area covered by cctv, and I an highly attracted to the pink feather boa idea.

It seems from your replies that this is not the drama I had imagined.
