I have an identical one to that at NCS ATM for grading, mine I marked as being a SD (I go by drawing a mental line down the lefthand edge of the stair carpet and extending it through the first '9' in '1993') But I did caveat my claim it was an SD with a plea to please check my working With regards to Frosting, sorry JC, I've no idea
^ Hi STC The 1993 recently had a new frosted variety recognised, this triggered an interesting debate on the forum the other week/month, see the thread below http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-28558-1993-10y-silver-panda-frosted-version.html cheers
Thanks Reggie, I totally missed that thread (gathers 1993 pandas & uggles). From the link I think Joes 93 IS frosted SD. Well done. Need an expert to be sure.
I think it is a frosted. I have this LD frosted slab in front of me and the "whiteness" in the panda fur in contrast to the mirrored leg/arm is similar. http://www.ngccoin.com/certlookup/CertResults.aspx?CertNumber=3624063-002 I still struggle with SD/LD but the size of the font relative to the spacing side by side and spacing above and below the date would suggest to me a SD.
Right now NGC population for a MS 69 Large Date Frosted is only 10. I own one. Any experts out there know what the value is? NGC has it listed without the frosted variety at $425.00
I think Comeaux is probably right in that the frosted will turn out to be the more common of the two large dates. One sold last night on ebay for USD 350. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/23084126...AX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_500wt_1040
