Guys, I would appreciate a description of the different types of error coins I own. I intend to sell them on ebay and I want to get it right. If you have a rough idea of what they may be worth; that information would be much appreciated. Cheers 1. Coin 1 1943 florin is a shed job, not an error Coin 2 1953 florin i dont see what is the error Coin 3 double struck, very nice. Can i see the other side? Coin 4 1952 florin is a lamination error
Thanks Mate, So the first coin is fake right! The second coin has a whole section slightly raised on the obverse I will try to take better pics tonight. Below is the reverse of No. 3 IMG_20191212_172144 by Aurora et luna posted Dec 12, 2019 at 5:40 PM
1st coin isn't fake, it just has been attacked to try to make it look like an error. I see them a lot. I would like to see the 2nd coin in hand, something looks off but its hard to see in pictures. errors are like that sometimes that shilling is fantastic! is it for sale? did you pull it out of population yourself?
Thanks for the update Serial. I will try to upload the rest of my error coins tonight or tomorrow. Happy to take offers on any of the coins before I list it on eBay No, I didn't pull these out of the population; picked up a few pieces here and there over the years from different sellers. Cheers
Not sure how recent this Downies list is but is has some prices against various pre dec coins with errors. https://www.downies.com/media/auction-catalogue/319A/Catalogue_047.html

8,7,6 are lamination errors, good ones to, should get a premium 6 is more desirable because it is struck over lamination error
Thanks Serial for all that info! The next one is a puzzler. I bought the attacked florin and this very poor copy of a Crown from the same guy for not much more than the silver content I had the Crown XRF and it shows that it is sterling, however its weight is 24 grams. Just wondering why anyone bother making such a poor quality crown with 925 silver IMG_20191213_102641 by Aurora et luna posted Dec 13, 2019 at 10:34 AM IMG_20191213_102717 by Aurora et luna posted Dec 13, 2019 at 10:34 AM
Discovered this sixpence in a parcel of pre-decimals yesterday. It's really thin, about half the thickness of a regular sixpence Anyone able to tell me what happened to it?
