Well surprise, surprise it turned out to be a scam and some people paid by bank deposit. Found the below thread on ebay forums.

Ok people on the 27.5.2012 a Ebay AU user called tombo3310 had many gold and silver bullions finishing on the same day, all 99cent auctions, ok so many others and i won the auctions an obviously went through his feedback and it was perfect 230 score 100% positive and many happy customers a member since 2010

Well some of us that paid via bank wire as most people do when trading in bullions as its cash for cash almost type deals for investment purposes, the auctions that i saw finish would total over $80k and I know between myself and 2 other customers he has $32,000 of our money yes that's right $32k which we would like back or like to see some gold

This is how he did it, created a bank account with St George with a fake address and names attached to the account, then im guessing alot if not all of his 230 sales are from Shill accounts or other goon's in on the scam's as many people seem to buy from him in USA & Italy?

He was very polite and sound 100% genuine on phone and in message's, then after payment is made bang phones are dead he shuts down all listings.

The address we tracked him down too is fake also, well he does not live there anyways it is a legit house and street address just not his, and im guessing paypal will ask the bank for money to refund customers and as the account is fraud and empty i doubt they will over draw his fake account the huge amount of cash stolen.

So everyone losses here he took the money and ran, so if anybody out there known's of this Tombo3310 or uses this name: Melis Barone HAS SINCE MADE HIS FEEDBACK PRIVATE SO WE CANT TRACK DOWN OTHER CUSTOMERS EITHER, there are a few of us customers that would love to hear any info on this guy.

Hope nobody here bought into this, even after having read warnings on this thread.

Here is a carded dog for $55 delivered : 330757370885

Seller registered yesterday and has zero feedback - otherwise I'd have nabbed it myself
Somebody else here might be more adventurous than I am

Edit: Seller just put up a 1oz rooster at same price as well.

I have to admit that I looked at tombo3310 gold bullion sales with suspicion.
I live in Brisbane, near where this guy said he was from (Capallaba from memory) and there are three Bullion Dealers located in the city that would give a few dollars ($80 or so per ounce) under spot. The 1Kg gold coin was sold for about $30K - why would anyone in their right mind accept $15K under what the bullion dealer would be willing to give just a few km away.

I checked his sales history and every sale was a small item for a few dollars. Then all of a sudden he was selling close to 100 ounces of Gold all finishing on the same day around the same time. When he stated that there was absolutely No Pick Up - that sealed the deal and I stayed right out.
I smelled a rat but had no idea how to warn people on eBay.

Only course of action is to report the fraud with the bank - they should be able to trace the money trail lead to.

Good luck to you all who paid the money to this guy.

Couldn't be bothered this time - but wanted to see how far it went even with a heads up here.

Also wanted to get a buy like this on record here, so the next time somebody says "it's impossible to buy for less than spot!".... :)

For the record, this listing was a Bradman 2001 set with a $20 bimetal, $5 silver coin and $5 bronze coin
Current value at spot (right now as at this post):
    Gold content: 0.27 oz @ $1545 = $417
    Silver content: 1.16 oz @ $26.80 = $31
    Bronze coin: $5 FV

    Total value AT SPOT = $417 + $31 + $5 = $453

Lot sold for $422 including postage.
So whoever bought this ebay lot got it for 93% of spot.

Who says you can't buy PMs for less than spot ??
