Would anyone like to proffer thoughts on 'easiest' bullion coins to sell? 66x50's seem to go quickly Koalas Kooks ASE ? not a lot of Maples, Buffalos etc offered. Would anyone care to list in order of quickest to slowest movers?
Oooooo fun. @ spot I would buy: 1. Philharmonics 2. Chinese Panda 2. Kookaburras 3. Canadian Timberwolf 5. Canadian Grizzy No other reason besides finding them pretty.
Well in this order would probably be my preference: 1. Lunars 2. Kangaroos 3. Koalas 4. Kookaburra 5. Timberwolf/Grizzly 6. ASE/Maples 7. Anything else that is not 0.999
Everything at spot, 1. PM Lunar 2. Panda 3. Britannia 4. Libertad 5. Anything from RAM, PM, and NZ Mint
1. Proof Pandas 2. Proof Lunars 3. Proof Roos 4. Any other Perth Mint Proofs 5. the 2013 Perth Mint Gilded 5oz 'Steve Bradbury'
I'd agree with this list if i could replace 5 with Philharmonics/Maples. I'm not interested in in majority of the RAM/PM coins e.g. transformer/battles/music men etc type coins 6 = Dollar and dumps 7 = something else i thought of but subsequently forgot :/ 8 = Australian crowns and 1966 50's 9 = other 999 coins (ASE's in here)
mmmm interesting. Pandas - no issues about fakes? ASE - 'most popular coin in the world'? Overall to date looks like PM winning.
Pandas dont feature on my list because I'm worried about fakes and therefore worried when I go to sell others will worry about them being fakes also. ASE's I'm not interested in really at all as they have no collectors value. When you make 60 million of a coin compared to say 300,000 (Koala, Lunar) or 20,000 (Kangaroo), there's no comparison.
I'm the same. I wouldn't bother with Panda's at all. Even at spot and with no other gold or silver available to buy I wouldn't touch them. They are that tainted IMHO.
Lunars Kooks Kangaroos Round 66s ASEs Closely followed by State $10 This is based SOLELY on ability to resell on this forum in the future.
maples, ASEs, lunars best international recognition and value for money after that, PAMP 1kgs are relatively cheap for the recognition 1966s are OK in Aus
kooks, koalas and roos are nice coins for sure but how many different kookaburras can you looks at ?!?! been going 21 years and yeah, kookaburras are a nice bird but 21 of them ?! Lunar on the other hand, each animal comes around once every 12 years, making the designs more collectable in my opinion. Also with the Lunars, the Series end. So a person can collect a series, put a line through that and start again. Not so with Kooks, Koalas etc that keep going year after year - there's no "set" so to speak, reducing their collection value.
