Hello, Anyone have an idea how long it usually takes once PM has taken your order (ie your money) until you have the goodies in your hands? In particular, how long has it taken ppl who have successfully ordered (online from PM) from the sept 1 release of the dragons to receive them? thanks, r
The Perth mint use AAE, they have been pretty slack. Left a card at my door today, when someone was clearly home. Anyway, now I have to pick up from the depot in person, the depot is out in the middle of no where. Only opens 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday. Guess I'll have to go into work late. Anyway, it was shipped yesterday from Perth. Arrived in Sydney today and attempted delivery. Not too bad when it was ordered on release day. Slam
Received mine today...But I know some stackers are yet to get theirs despite ordering on the same day..
AAE are pathetic. If the miss you on their 1 try there's only a few depots in each capital city and its a time consuming drive each way. Aust Post would be much better which is what the Perth Mint uses for its numismatic coins, but not its bullion coins.
I remember the days when AAE were partially owned by Auspost (or just has an agreement with) and if AAE couldn't get a signature, they'd card you and sign it over to the local PO who would hold it until you picked it up (or it was returned unclaimed).
They use AAE if you buy over $1000 for numismatic stuff... It's so annoying when they bring it back the depot. The Sydney one is way out west and only opens 9-5 -_____- Last time this happened to me I got Perth Mint to get AAE to resend no extra charge. I wouldn't drive out there, stuff that
I placed my order and transferred money on the 1st Sept, was told yesterday via email that my order will be released after 13th Sept, not too happy with that as my last order only took 3 days altogether!!!
my 1oz dragons still say approved. My proof dragons just changed to approved today. No idea when I will see them.maybe its who placed the order first gets sent out first, the would be only min and secs between them all
Does anyone know if they miss you on the first try, do they leave the package with the nearest post office or some remote depot? I have heard either one and don't know which case is true.
got them today but damn! they shrink wrapped the roll with the freakin queen facing on both sides!I don't want to rip them apart of course, so hope there're not koalas !
Well if they're 45.6mm in diameter and dated 2012, they're definitely Dragons - it's the only 1oz silver coin that diameter with 2012 on it. Koalas are smaller. I've never heard of a "doubler header" roll before - quick! eBay it as an error roll!
