There are some carded medallions with koalas on them done privately by a store called Downies - in the years around 2000 or thereabouts - not sure of the exact years there are also some crocs as well might have been made by the Perth Mint - not sure - but they are not coins and nothing to do with the koala series starting in 2007 pinched these images from ebay:
