I've been carrying my first ASE with me as a physical reminder of what I want to stay focused on, my future, rather than blowing my money on whimsical purchases. I enjoy taking it out and looking at it from time to time. Anyone else do that? I sure would be pissed if I lost it though. But also it's nice to know no matter what situation, however unlikely, I've always got something that's worth X amount of money, depending on the day.

Yes, I keep a lucky 50 cent piece in my change. I have swapped out all the unlucky ones; worse than milk spots.

No I don't see the point in carrying any particular trinket that may get lost.
PMs aren't something I discuss in my public life so I don't see the point.

I once had a botany lecturer who had a brilliant mind but the unnerving habit of playing pocket billiards in his shorts while giving a lecture.
Maybe he was really playing with a coin in his pocket, regardless of what it was it is a wierd thing to do imo.

Not any more, I used to keep one in my pocket to fiddle with but but someone reported me for playing pocket billiards during one of my botany lectures so I decided it wasn't worth the hassle.

I carry an american silver eagle in my pocket most of the time.
Some say silver may be good to prevent infections and bacteria.
who knows, regardless, I like to carry this 1oz coin with me.

walking around with a kilo bar in your pocket can generate some disturbed looks.

I get that anyway OH SNAP. But it's funny you guys say "pocket billiards" I have to say guys, that sounds terrible. You should adopt the American "pocket pool" version which has all that lovely alliteration going for it. And yes, as far as silver having wonderful antibacterial properties, that's true. It was used as sutures (silver sutures! More alliteration!) to prevent wound infection. But I'm not sure how useful a 1oz coin would be in the event that you need it. Colloidal silver would be ideal (for topical wounds, you don't necessarily have to wear a tin foil hat and drink it).

I keep a 1oz libertad either on my work desk or in my pocket or wallet. Also keep a round 50cent at work as a conversation starter. I work with a lot of people born overseas who until they see it are unaware of its existence.

Yep. I guess so. Pushing wheelbarrows all day. Waiting for spot to come down further.
Forget about the truck; it is too much of a hassle to park at the city.
