I think everyone here was a #3 when they began stacking.
You don't get to #1 overnight. It will take years of slog and sacrifice
Trouble is very few are prepared to pay the price

what would you say is the minimum number of oz to be content? I feel content but possibly ignorant of reality.

    1000oz?
    1500oz?
    2000oz?
    greater / less?

At what number would you feel content?

I cringe every time I hear that question asked.

It would depend on a lot of things...

    Do you own a house?
    Do you want a house?
    Do you have a family?
    etc etc

    Everytime I think I'm at #1 I realise I'm still at #3.

Ill probably always be #3 no matter how close I think I get to #1.

Owning an ETF is crazy in my view.

If you want to own a paper gamble - buy shares, which actually has something to back it up.

Both have paper risk - but at least paper mining shares *should* perform substantially better than the paper ETF.

In saying that, I am only invested in physical.

    yes, quite right.

This is why I mentioned the 'minimum' number.

for a young single person with no debt and accustomed to a moderate lifestyle it might only be a few hundred ounces
but to an extended family unit with a large number of members, once again living fairly well, this figuure may be 10,000oz.

Just curious to see if people would be content, or its a void that can never be filled. If its the latter, a few people on here are going to have trouble parting with their goods as the attachment or greed has become to strong.

    Parting is such sweet sorrow.

I wouldn't part with my silver for fiat gains.

Only for something I value more or something that is umdervalued whatever that might be down the road.
