Well I've got no real priorities and when I spend 'silly' money on PM's, it's from the profits gained from flipping them so it's really free metal for a bit effort.

Vintage/rare bars didn't really float my dinghy until I saw the Perth Mint 1oz and the Engelhard's (guessing this is what you're referring to) are just as desirable in my book. It's something very few people would have in their stack and that appeals to me.

Ditch the f*mily and m*rtgage and have some fun!!!! :D

But this is true crazy pricing

Do you think that's what happened here? From my little understanding of the panda market, it wouldn't surprise me if the price was purely investor driven. It does sound like an exceptionally rare coin in a very fast growing collectors market.

"The briber first presents a forged artwork as a gift to the official being bribed, which does not violate the Chinese anti-corruption laws" but undoubtably flouts any anti-forgery laws

No clue. I just see grossly over inflated niche Chinese product markets and think "scam" or "fraud". (And when I see grossly over inflated niche Western product markets I think "ponzi" and "counterfeit".)

Feeds a growing illusion in the market though and worse, starts to derail the fundamentals on why we stack in the first place.

With metal prices being so flat lately though, it's not hard to see why people with the constant growth mentality are looking for niche markets in premiums and making buy decisions based on that.

Then PM or someone else goes and reprints and destroys collectable premium and it's torches and pitchforks all round.

Just another example I think of how ideology and expectation in the metals market is becoming more skewed as impatience on movement grows and people start looking at niche's to feed that big growth expectation.

Shall I take you back to the dragon release? It was madness then.

But the core of SS who were here before Ag went past 20 knew this is where it would head in such a fast ramp up to 50. Attracts a very different mindset to the market and with prices in a relatively flat area right now, it's not hard to see why there's so much interest in the numi side of things.

Not all precious metal stackers are actually stackers, if you get my drift.

I can't pay too much over spot, my brain won't let me. It's like stamp collecting... Bugger that.
