I might need one. Have been thinking of buying a gift Visa or MasterCard from Officeworks or the Post Office. If I go to one where I'm not known, wear face mask, sunnies, and a cap, then hopefully CCTV won't recognise me.

On Ebay I now try to buy stuff only from places not in China but it's of little use as practically everything is made there.

I agree, but most people likely never worked in Pandemic zone, i cant even imagine going to work in that state of mind.... the tallies are likely not being done by the senior staff more like the very junior, who waits for approval, than goes to a supervisor, who waits for approval etc etc

As for death, likely more people are dying of coronavirus, (not in conspiracy sense) consider.

    1. people are scared of hospitals, so they go to hospitals at very late stage,
    2. patient just arrived is exhibiting obvious pneumonia symptoms
    3. a million test has to be done.....
    4. a patient who has pneumonia wont get priority on coronavirus test, but test for pneumonia test etc.
    5. what if this patient dies... should the blood be urgently tested for coronavirus,,,, or wait as low priority, when live people are waiting

Africa can’t avoid it. Poorer Asian nations can’t avoid it. South America is marginal and most likely in the same situation as Africa.
Western countries can only manage this if the spread is slow. Medical facilities although very good are simply insufficient to handle a rapid influx of serious cases. We all know we are not going to see a China scale isolation policy.
Likelihood of containment seem quite low at this stage. Just focusing on the rate of mortality seems naive. China is holding on by a thread with supplies of food, trying to maintain production, dissension is on the rise and we have little global impact presently.
Social cohesion will be seriously challenged by this event.

I've been reading how South Africans are burning alive black Africans from neigbhouring countries due to envy of their better economic status. If they knew the Chinese brought in the wuhan virus, you can imagine what will happen?

200 people in the US state of Georgia have been quarantined because of you know what o_O

300 people in a Singaporean high rise office block have been evacuated after a person inside the building was discovered with the Coranavirus

I have the thought today right or wrong that the Chinese people have been sent out into an unsuspecting world like suicide bombers :(

US wants to hang their terrorist label on China neck, but there is a virus flag already much more powerful than the black flag

The US would win a war with China with most scholars agreeing although the end result would not be pretty as you would expect, but the US is more worried about winning the trade war and what impact now globally with this virus, there must be some numbers somewhere and they will not be good.

And despite what China might say this thing is not contained in anyway and it is not business as usual.

    I wish everyone well

I've just been away for 2 weeks and the 3 countries I entered were all screening passengers by way of temperature testing with a gun reader and camera sensor on the way in. On return to Sydney there was a similar camera sensor but no staff near it and it appeared voluntary. When I exited the international Terminal at around 3 PM it was like a ghost town with no more than 2 dozen people in the arrival halls. I went through passport control and quarantine in 5 minutes, it has never been that fast. This is really going to affect economies around the world big time.

-Long range anti ship missiles wipe out redundant carrier battle groups.
-Air superiority non existent due to advances in air defense systems
-military too thinly stretched to attempt a ground invasion of a developed country
-only good for bombing goat herders in their desert hut
-nuclear option met with mutually assured destruction

Tell me how the US can win anything except by subterfuge and espionage
