Did a search couldn't find anything.

The wifes new silver chain has gone a bit black.
What is the best simple way of cleaning this?

    Thanks in advance

Can easily get your hands on a proper silver cleaning liquid that you just dip it in for a few secs in any supermarket over here

try dipping it in cloudy ammonia (follow proper safety precautions) then rinse it in clean water

if you dont have clean water then vaccinate (apparently)

Scratch the silver with Vegemite and semi cooked noodles on the night of the new moon.

Seriosly though you can by a product like Silvo or just take it to a jewelers and they'll either charge you $5 or do it for free.

you could use "Tarn off" liquid cleaner but VANGBAC's suggestion is prolly the way to go

Much better and safe for jewelry and coins is MS70 coin cleaner. I only recently used it on a coin and the tarnish dissapears. Great stuff.
