How should we allocate the charity auction proceeds to Smith Family Child Sponsorship?

Hi all, first off thank you to all who participated in my Good Deeds round 50 giveaway last time, we had some great stories from it and hopefully all the round 50s have arrived. You can revisit that post here for those that missed it.

One of the ideas that came out of it as suggested by @BackYardPirate was to run a charity auction and donate it to the Smith Family Child Sponsorship cause.

I have the honour of running the charity auction so the first step is to ask for pledges, I will leave this open for 1 week, all pledges please before 9pm eastern 10/06/2021

This is how I foresee it will run:
    - please reply or PM with your pledges
    - PM me for details to post the items (will be posted to me)
    - I will then collate and tally up all the items received
    - I will then run the auction once all pledges have been received
    - sign up for the child sponsorship with The Smith Family and use the funds as voted on in the above poll

Hopefully not to complicate things further, I would ask those that have made pledges to vote in the poll on how to use the proceeds. Sponsorship is only $52 per month, and the funds can go a long way. There are a few options that I can think of, and hopefully the poll answers make sense.

As we progress, I will tally up pledges throughout the campaign in a public Google spreadsheet so everything is open and transparent with what has been pledged, what has been received on my end, etc.

Also had a couple of people from the round 50 post donate their round 50 towards this auction. So we're off and running already with 2 round 50s in the kitty.

Round fifties got the ball rolling, so I'll kick in 20 x round fifties.
    Thank you for the initiative.

I appreciate the generosity of everyone. I will chuck some stuff in for auction as well. I went with the one off donation for my vote, on account of the potential flexibility later down the track if another auction is ran, a more suitable charity given the circumstance at the time could be chosen (plus whoever gets the money won't have to worry about the ongoing monthly donations if it is just a lump sum straight up)

Looking forward to bidding on some items

All done! Thanks to all who pledged and have sent items in.

Will be back shortly with the actual auction once everything has arrived.

In the meantime I’ll leave it open to any other offers as donations towards the auction, please feel free to get in touch.
