Geologists dont have xray vision.... he cant know that - but still respect his opinion. I dont hold CGT, but at this price im looking hard at it.
CGT is having the same lack of success that Ballarat Goldfields and Lihir previously did. Great sampling showing heaps of potential was reported, followed by an increase to the labor force to go get it all, then the belated announcement of disappointing results. This cycle has been repeated several times now. Do you think that Lihir would get rid of this dud if it was ever going to be productive? IMHO much of the gold in the Ballarat region is in reefs located much closer to the surface than CGT and the others have been looking. A profitable operation could possibly exist if they were allowed to have an open cut operation, but that isnt ever going to happen.
I wish this company all the best in its endeavours. I had $5000 to invest 12 months ago. I bought a decent Gold Detector. I now have 3 ounces of physical in hand and a detector still worth around $4500. Better than investing in some "encouraging sample results" and unfullfilled targets IMHO.
May 2010: USD $1200/oz (CGT acquisition) Now: USD $1750/oz But yeah... it aint moving untill some firm results come...
I notice that cgt is no longer speaking at the gold symposium today and tomorrow. I am sure i recall them being on the list. Looks like they pulled out. Guess they are not a gold miner anymore :O
Bullion baron - whats the rationale for stop losses - I would have assumed you would have had one in.
In the case of CGT I doubt a stop loss would have been much use. They announced the F*up outside market hours, and the price gapped downwards. For a stop loss to work there still has to be a buyer at your stop loss level.
bellow 10c now looks like there might be some more bad news coming. I guess they didn't show up to symposium due to the angry mob with pitchforks.
Trading halt with plan to extend the halt already in place. Depending on design of capital raising and who is involved could be good longer term but will probably hammer the price again short term. malachii
I heard it was going to be a new business model: early bird parking for $15/day in their shiny new car park facility
Totally agree. This seems to be a cockup from the start. From a good managment team this is extremely disappointing. malachii
Looking at their performance, I don't think we can say they are a good management team. [disclosure, current CGT holder]
