I'm happy to be corrected but can't think of any gold producers that can produce at less than $700/oz (or $500) and still offer very low soveriegn risk (ie mining in the equivalent of Australia).

    And everything SmoothCriminal says above!!

I think Conquest has the potential to fit that bill - I really am amazed at how the current managment turned the Panjingo mine around... I recon the Mt Carlton project has enormous potentiall - but it might be same difference. You guys saw in CGT what I see in CQT (thats how I found Conquest buy the way - i mis typed the ticker for castlemaine) but id seen Conquest and silver in the same article so did my research.

I dont want to rain on your parade - i was just curious

I think this (the word potential) is why you will see the difference. CQT is a fair way from any production where as CGT will be a producer in the next month or two.

I'm not saying CQT is a bad investment - just a different investment with a completely different risk profile.

Bullish article on the miners. CGT gets a good mention.

Just for the sake of openess I have been taking some short term trading profits on my favourite stock CGT. I've been giving this stock a bit of a rap lately and haven't lost faith in it but think there might be better value in the next week or two. I still hold a large number in a "core" holding - I'm only disposing of a small amount of my "trading" portfolio.

A nice move yesterday for those still holding.

CGT will move up in early trade this morning, big(ish) buy order at 5.5c.

    Moving close to production now!

EDIT: I should say, after the opening few mins, who know what the heck is going to happen in this market!

There seems to be a big buyer moving through CGT at the moment. Anytime he gets filled he seems to come straight back with a large order. Be interesting to see what happens when he's had his fill.

Hope Gold is still going up by the time CGT gets to production. I'm hoping the high will coincide with their production, but gold is going up a bit too fast for my liking atm.

A couple of different ones depending on what I am currently looking/scanning for. The usual one uses IRESS as it's basis but has several other privately written programs that run in conjuction.

Upon production (3 weeks?) and assuming gold at AUD$1700.....

Would a SP of .08 be unrealistic?

If your on Commsec CGT value isn't showing - don't be alarmed I'm guessing the share consolidation is underway as we speak.

    Ouch indeed!

yea it looked like a bit of a panic sell off, where people are thinking the very worst. I'm interested to see where it closes at.

fingers cross the announcement was not sugar coated.

I will wait until the dust settles to make a decision. Bit unfortunate about their project. I am waiting some more news from them for longer term potential now.
