Recent collection of 2010-11 $1 Celebrate Australia 1oz Silver Proof, do you think it worth buying?

I don't think so. I'd offer a slight premium over spot, comparable to a regular Kook.

    (ignore me ... I'm clearly not a collector ;))

These are more numismatic than bullion and prices have increased since the first coin was issued.

It is advisable to assemble a complete set as some coins are harder to get than others due to limited mintages. Ultimately, they are only worth as much as someone is prepared to pay. Currently there are 8 coins in the set (unless others are issued for remote territories) and the value would be between $800 to $900 for the set based on collector premiums.
