    HMM hard rubbish
    The best form of recycling
I heard a story last Sunday from an antique dealer
A collector picked up a Aboriginal bark painting
They took it to get it valued $20k-$90k ,it's going up at the next Sotheby's auction ;)
I know lots of other antique dealers & car guys who do well from hard rubbish
    I LOVE HARD RUBBISH :D

THE QUESTION IS THE WRONG QUESTION BEING ASKED ;)

The asnwer is really simple ,as all my solutions are :D
I'm pretty sure that in Germany the manufacturers are responsible for the packaging the produce :D
So how do they get around it .NOTHING is manufactured in Germany anymore ,the items are made in China & assembled in Germany
Lets take Bosch for example ,find an old Bosch drill & try to find a new one in Bunnings ,the new one is made in China

The ONLY WAY to fix this is to make QUALITY products that don't self destruct within 12 months just after the warranty expires

    BUT NO NO NO
WE MUST CONSUME NEW PRODUCTS EVERYDAY

    :D

Ironic ain't it? Here's a fire that will emit all sorts of toxic gases and suspensions, but not all that much CO2. If you were to clean up the smoke by running it through a cat convertor and re-burning the toxic crap, you'd be considered to be a larger polluter because of the larger weight of CO2 there would be in the de-toxified exhaust. I can see some heavy industries removing their exhaust treatment options and spewing far more toxic chemicals up the spout because it will contain less CO2. It truly is just madness.

You can argue until your blue in the face with the climate change numbskulls. In just over 12 months this issue will be dead because the tax will be repealed and the productive segment of society can roll up its sleeves, kick the unions when they are down and get the country back on track.

I am looking forward to seeing the fair work mob made dedundant

    Kind Regards

Coalition policy is to just give billions of dollars of "grants" to the big polluters and hope they pollute less.

And you seriously think that is a better policy? Where do you think that money is going to come from?

(Here's a hint: it begins with "the" and ends with "taxpayer".)

and in other news, New Zealand's Mt Tongariro erupts, ash cloud, the contents of the cloud contained more CO2 emissions than the entire Australian output for 5 years.

Carbon tax or as I call it "life tax" is an Agenda above the two jokes we call political parties. Mr Rabbit will get in and Mr rabbit will not repeal it because Mr rabbit could not repeal it if he wanted. Mr Rabbit WILL be worse then Juliar because they are NOT trying to make things better they are trying to break things!

As much as I despise Juliar Glliard I was quite amused when she said she'd "Constructed an Abbott Proof Fence" around the TAX!

It will come from an improvement in the earnings and therefore tax receipts. I roared with laughter about your comment on better policy. The labour party has lost touch with the "real workers" and everyone knows it. The Dud/Juliar farce has ensured that this country can look forward to many many years of conservative federal government rule.

The unions has every right to be worried because Abbott will eviserate their flow of funds to the parliamentary labour party and starve the unions of members by continuing what John Howard started.

    Kind Regards

So, what is the weather like on Planet Wishful Thinking today?

Aren't market based solutions meant to be the conservatives' preferred method of changing behaviour? Or is the LNP just so desperate to never, ever agree with Labor on anything that they'll back-flip on their own rhetoric?

Labor and the Greens preferred method of altering behaviour is to create a welfare state with ever larger government, no self employed people or contractors and every working Australia in a factory under the eye of an ACTU shop steward. I think that I preferred the prosperity I experienced under Howard over the economic gulag under Labor.

Consider this: since the Labor government was elected in 2007, it has introduced or increased many new taxes and charges:

    1. Alcopops tax.

    2. New tax on Australians working overseas.

    3. Cutting what Australians can put into superannuation tax-free.

    4. Restrictions on business losses.

    5. Changes to Employee Share Scheme.

    6. Cigarette tax hike of 25%.

    7. The Mining tax.

    8. Ethanol taxation increases.

    9. LPG excise increase.

    10. Tightening restrictions on medical expenses before you can claim them on tax.

    11. Increase in luxury car tax.

    12. Flood tax.

    13. Tax increase on company cars.

    14. Abolition of Entrepreneurs' Tax Offset.

    15. Phasing out of Dependent Spouse Tax Offset.

    16. Disallowance of deductions against government assistance payments.

    17. Removing minors' eligibility for the low income tax offset on unearned income.

    18. Deferral of Tax Breaks for Green Buildings.

    19. Great big new carbon tax.

    20. Means testing the Health care Rebate

    21. Reducing the qty of cigarettes allowed into the country tax free

It make no sense that at the same time the cost of living is going through the roof and forgotten Australian families are doing it tougher than ever, Labor and the Greens are introducing even more new taxes.
