    I have always assumed that a buzz is defined as I will purchase your item and accept all relevant stipulations and charges. Is this correct?

    What are the acceptable circumstances when is it ok to withdraw or cancel a buzz?

    But I know a few dealers here let it slide .
    As you said
    Buzz = sold

    I have only ever withdrawn one buzz, when, on communication with the seller previously undisclosed information regarding damage to the coin in question was revealed.
    IMO lack of disclosure of info like damage to a coin is plain deceitful.

    before buzzing what I do is asking sellers what are the charges applicable to me(like shipping to Japan, acceptance of paypal, etc, etc) ... most of the time I miss good deals ... but that is me

    I don't think that following are acceptable circumstances but someone might think otherwise:
    1) shipping charge is not listed by the seller ... after buzzing buyer realizes that shipping will be more than he thought;
    2) buyer contacts the seller after buzzing with the question regarding the condition of sold item and realizes that the condition is not good for the "buzz";
    3) buyer was drunk and buzzed ... I prefer to deal with sober ones and if I have a chance to cancel the deal with someone drunk - I do it :)

    Buzz is an unofficial contract. Only way to back out is if product was not described accurately etc.

    what do you mean by "this site"?

    I'm sure you know that here we have hundreds if not thousands of sellers ... sellers are all people and not all people has the same scale of standards.
    One should be ready to face it

    Make an issue of it with admin if you wish. Let's bore and aggravate them over a 1/2 oz pt coin. I only withdrew the buzz under what I saw as sustained provocation. I've taken nothing from you.

    I have made no mention of you as it does not bother me, as I said "ok". I always ask clarifications for every difficulty for future use, if you want to show people what "sustained provocation" means then I can oblige you as 2 members who I have consulted (I never stated your name) said I did nothing wrong and judging by other members response I would have every right to neg. you.

    When things get to this stage there is no seeing it one way - its perception. You do what you please. You brought it into the public area not me. It's ok by me for Admin to view all our correspondence, but continuing member disputes are a plague to them. It's petty - what have you lost? I reached a point where I couldn't happily communicate with you - I thought you were being arrogant and I still think so. We have no relationship therefore no business. I didn't duck closure because the price of Pt changed or I didn't want the item - I did want the item

    If you feel that way, then allow me to disclose the pm's and let members decide, I am always transparent and willing to show anybody and everybody all my pm's as I firmly believe I have done nothing wrong. That is the reason why I made this thread so I can gauge what members think is a fair reason to cancel a buzz, and to gain a consensus so in the future a problem about buzzes happen I can forward this thread as clear reference. You are the one who chose to disclose yourself, so how about it, lets show the inside story?

    Guys, serves no purpose - if there's crossed wires over perceived tone etc just let it slide - particularly if it's a result of the trade being disrupted by the interruption to the private message facility this week.

    Exactly, that is why I never mentioned his handle on my thread. I made this thread so I can gauge what members think is a fair reason to cancel a buzz, and to gain a consensus so in the future a problem about buzzes happen I can forward this thread as clear reference. That is all.

    Easy to say after publicly calling me "arrogant" and "sustaining provocation" w/o showing the context (pm's).

    hmmm...sure thing that anyone likes to get buzzed on any of their items but if it is cancelled so be it...take note and perhaps next time you wouldn't deal with that member ;)
