Think it is a good idea to buy $7 unsearched Indian Head/Lincoln Wheat penny rolls? With 1893-1903 end pennies? I know some of the end indian head cents can be worth $7 by itself. Think bidding and buying these cheap unsearched rolls is a good idea as a new collector to increase collection size?

Guy on ebay is auctioning his grandfathers collection consisting of rolled indian head/lincoln pennies and mercury dimes. I'd like to purchase a roll or 2 considering price would only be $7 each and i could use some older coins like those for my collection.

Auctions end tomorrow, think i should go for it?

    Thank you.

I don’t believe in unsearched rolls - unless they’re coming out of a bank vault, they’ve been searched over the last century :)

I have a roll of 1968S pennies I bought on a whim thinking there might be a double die in there... haven’t even bothered to check :)

Buy them because you’ll get a kick out of discovering what’s in there.

    Check out ebay item #263355075268
Not too much more cost, and you get 51 different Lincoln cents.

At $7 per roll, I would be shocked if the inside coins were anything but common wheat cents with the end coin(s) being carefully placed "teasers".
