im new on gumtree interesting some items more than 1000$ but seller prefer to use deposit no paypal so i worry ithow can i check seller feedback performance even paypal also not 100% safeif seller put the fake one or everything inside as long as same weight u want because before sign u can open parcel to check it after signature will be delivered no chance to get refund
I never bought PMs on Gumtree but if I did it would only be pickup in person and would have to be confident (magnet) by some test the item is not plated. And anything over 1k I avoid Gumtree and ebay entirely and just buy from respected dealer. It's not worth the risk to save a few bucks.
I honestly can't understand You have asked the same type of question not long ago You really can't tell the scammers out there ? I can't believe you still want to purchase the item ,what ever it is:/
Why not put the call out to someone on the forum who lives nearby that could pick it up for you. May cost you half a slab but may end up a safer bet.
i have also seen something on gumtree interstate that would save me close to $200 but dont want to chance sending the funds - also weighs a lot
stick to F2F in your local area, I have been done twice by people with retail stores that advertise on the tree, never again, Gumtree have no power for eft transcactions as mine were, so its basically an honour system with no avenue for seller feedback either. My Bank NAB could not even reverse the eft transaction without the receivers authority, just don't go there, even if you use paypal I would still be ultra cautious. Remember anyone can be anyone on social media networks.
