The old BitTorrent will be swapped for a more diluted new type BitTorrent. The old's price and the new one's price: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bittorrent/ https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bittorrent-new/ The new one will be more diluted (there will be 1,000x more coins). 0.000002627 $ is the price of one and the total max supply is 990,000,000,000,000, while the circulating supply is 932,497.50B BTT It's bad news when they can meddle with the max. supply. Also, the new coin is cheaper. The old one will become worthless, will be scrapped (at least according to several Reddit discussions and blog posts). Many wallets still don't work with the new one. And many wallets can't run the old ones already. Many wallets and exchanges don't allow the swaps either and the old BTT will be scrapped (price will hit zero) very soon. As for investment-gains on the longer term (if you hold the new BTT): The multiplying factor of the new cheaper coin can insure massive gains (if it gains 500x, 1000x value). IF it starts growing in value seriously. But I don't see why that would happen. On the other hand, it feels like yet another digital Zimbabwe Dollar. And this is a precedent for itself and other coins to just DEVALUE whenever the "masters" wish to hit that "QE" button... BitTorrent just turned Sh*tTorrent? What are your opinions?
